ABOUT HUGH FERRIS
I am a TV, radio and events presenter with more than 20 years\' experience. Since 2011 I\'ve worked at BBC Sport, firstly as a freelance presenter, and since 2022 as a full time TV Sports News presenter. I\'ve also appeared on radio for BBC Radio 2 on the Zoe Ball and Chris Evans Breakfast Shows, BBC Radio 5 Live, and the World Service. I\'ve been based in Manchester since working at the 2002 Commonwealth Games, covering all the big sporting stories in the city. More than 400 games commentating on Manchester United and Manchester City include three Champions League finals, four FA Cup finals, four League Cup finals, and to date I\'ve reported on ten Premier League triumphs. My event work outside of football includes hosting at the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow in 2014, and at a number of England cricket internationals. From 2016 to 2022 I wrote, produced and hosted the Set Piece Menu Football Podcast, which was nominated three times for an FSA Award.
