   In my role as lead of Flight Dynamics, I manage the construction and implementation of our custom 6 degree of freedom (6DoF) rocket model. The 6DoF is built entirely in MATLAB and includes a custom object-oriented data scheme to allow for generalized rocket simulation over the full flight envelope. My goal is to structure our software very similar to industry to prepare students for work in GNC and simulation.To capture the most important elements of the rocket systems, flight dynamics is involved in simulation of the full range of environmental and rocket characteristics - from internal changes in mass distribution and rotational inertia to external factors such as weather analysis.I manage a team of around 15 members, coordinating the implementation of various aspects of the rocket system. My main work on the system focuses on the core simulation elements, such as the integration scheme and rotational / translation dynamics of the rocket system in addition to aerodynamic simulation.I am also the co-author of two books, containing over 400 pages of information which detail the theory and practical implementation of a 6-DoF model. I have worked alongside Preston Wright to produce these books, which serve as both documentation and learning material for our project have been working with the PSP Flight Dynamics team since August of 2023, and began my lead position in May of 2024.
