Under the direction of the Center’s Director, working closely with the Chief Administrative Officer, Associate Directors, PIO, HR, business office/ grants team, core & affiliate scientists, PO at NIH & other key stakeholders on providing high level analysis & support for special projects pertaining to the Primate Center’s activities & research enterprise. • Acting in the capacity of Chief of Staff to the Director, advising him of key Center initiatives while maintaining high confidentiality & diplomacy; Ensuring the Director’s needs and expectations are met including national strategic initiatives, programs, projects, policy, budget & community legislative relations, MOUs • Providing departmental managerial administrative oversight for the PI’s research activity including budgets and working closely with the Mgmt team and Unit leaders/ faculty, and Morrison lab on various initiatives, including assisting lab Mgr with finances (billing/ coding) • Coordinating and facilitating various committee facilitation to include Steering Strategic Planning Committee, those surrounding the handling of Covid 19, Space review committee, Aging Consortium and various Proposal review committees (NIA, RAC) •Spearheading Center communication on various topics •Assisting in coordination of center events •Highlight projects: assistance with - virtual NSAB 2020, 2021 Office of Research 15 Yr Rev, COVID projects Research Ramp up/ down, compliance reports for publications (pubmed), Strategic Plan Survey Implementation and Organizational Climate Pilot round 1; OR 5 year Directors Review, Base Grant Renewal and NIH virtual Site Visit 2022, AALAC •upcoming projects 2023 Fall Directors meeting and AIDS symposium; CAG task force survey round 2, OR annual FY report 21-22; Succession planning workgrp, CAC kickoff 6/2023 •Assist Dr Morrison as he officially becomes president elect of Society for Neuroscience - June 2023 •Proshare Committee CoChair elect 2023 •GMP Mentor elect 2023
