About Heinrich S.
Experienced educator currently working with grades K-8 developing goals and implementing strategies for students with IEPs providing a quality free appropriate public education. Passionate educator who has worked with children about slow food and healthy principles. My pedagogy flows through hands on project based learning teaching in outdoor classroom settings preparing students with 21st Century skills. Being part of such a cause is amazing. Helping to combat health related issues children face today from obesity to type II diabetes, ADHD is not just an equitable problem but a worldwide dilemma. Prior to working in education my experience was in driving sales nationally in a very competitive surf industry for a small boutique surfboard brand creating strong client relationships and profits. Graduating from Northern Michigan University I received my Bachelor\'s of Science degree in Physical Education focused on Exercise Science and Kinesiology and minored in Psychology. I have received my Master Composter certificate and continued to educate myself with online lectures from UC Berkley on an Edible Education, the ESY Academy, spoke at multiple conferences and love attending local seminars and any other learning opportunities when available.
