Full-time Teaching Assistant Professor responsible for the Foundation of Cybersecurity course offering.Responsible for creating and maintaining course materials for the foundations of the cybersecurity course, where we teach students the basics of system security, system exploits, authentication, access control, and cryptography practices.Established the current teaching assistant management structure to increase the work efficiency of the TAs and streamline the management process to better help the students. I am also responsible for actively creating new materials, such as phishing campaigns and privilege escalation modules, to help students understand how security controls can be bypassed. Coordinate with other professors teaching the courses on other remote campuses to ensure that the progress and content of the course offerings are synchronized. Manages the TAs of all course offerings on behalf of other professors to ensure prompt feedback and grading of student submissions.Created the remote asynchronous offering of the course and modified the course structure to incorporate replacement activities equivalent to the in-class activities to ensure a similar experience.

Hsiaoan is a passionate cybersecurity educator emphasizing foundational security principles, hands-on learning, and student success.
