ABOUT HRISTINA KALINA TODOROVSKA
I’m a Trainee Occupational Psychologist currently working in the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP), supporting customers who face significant barriers to employment — including mental health conditions, neurodivergence, disabilities, and long-term unemployment.I carry out psychology-informed employment assessments and consultations to help customers explore their work goals, identify suitable roles, understand workplace support needs, and rebuild confidence. My work includes- Delivering 1:1 employment assessments and triadic appointments with Disability Employment Advisers and Work Coaches- Supporting customers with neurodivergent conditions, acquired brain injuries, learning difficulties, and complex mental health needs- Using techniques such as Solution-Focused and Cognitive-Behavioural approaches to help individuals identify strengths and overcome perceived limitations- Applying psychometric assessments (including WAIS subtests where appropriate) to assess learning potential, cognitive fit, and in-work adjustment needs- Collaborating with advisers on referral processes and providing tailored recommendations to help customers transition into meaningful work.I hold an RQTU Level 2 Certificate in Work and Organisational Assessment and am currently progressing through Stage 2 Occupational Psychology training, working ethically under the guidelines of the British Psychological Society (BPS) and HCPC.Passionate about resilience, identity after adversity, and creating inclusive paths to employment, I aim to blend psychological insight with compassion and practical impact. Open to collaborations, wellbeing-led initiatives, and psychology-informed projects that uplift those often left behind in the workforce.
