West Lafayette, IN, US
Designed and manufactured a front axle assembly for a competition go-kart, supporting wheel loads, steering input, and braking forces under race conditions, competing in the Purdue Annual Grand Prix. • Developed detailed 3D CAD assemblies and part drawings using Fusion 360, incorporating tolerances, fasteners, and serviceability considerations. • Performed FEA analysis using ANSYS Mechanical to determine optimal geometry and location for spindle and stub axle assembly components for optimal kart efficiency. • Led subsystem-level design efforts, coordinating tasks and timelines while mentoring team members through the design–build–test cycle. • Constructed Bills of Materials (BOM) and Manufacturing Operation Sheets (MOS) using Microsoft Excel, and documented processes, tooling, and inspection steps, and engineering documentation on Microsoft SharePoint
