About Heather Armstrong
Over the past 12+ years, I’ve been a leader in quality engineering, automation, and analytics across the digital entertainment industry (MLB, Disney, and SiriusXM) covering web/desktop application UI, e-commerce, payments, localization, privacy, data and analytics. My expertise is driving efficiencies through processes, automation test strategy, and agile methodologies. Throughout my career, I’ve launched multiple 0-1 global products. At Disney, led QA of product launches for Disney+, Hulu, Star+, ESPN+ & NHL.tv across desktop, commerce, and analytics. I even managed the QA team on the ground in the Netherlands & Australia for in-market launches of Disney+.Most importantly, I’m passionate about building inclusive teams. I’ve hired and coached 22+ engineers, advancing two to people manager roles. I also spearheaded L&D initiative training manual testers, successfully transitioning a number of them to automation roles.
