I love replacing a sprawling mess of process or functionality, or a screaming void where that process or functionality should be, with a smoothly spinning set of gears, and am happiest when navigating new and uncertain territory.In the past 16+ years, I have owned and powered wildly disparate aspects of Zillow’s IT environment, from migrating terabytes of data, to loading new companies into our systems, to building (and rebuilding) our processes and automation to secure and present responsive data for litigation matters, to owning our SOX controls and designing the methods for approving, granting, withdrawing, and monitoring access to regulated data. I have been shoulders-deep in every aspect of implementing our ServiceNow instance, from standing up the initial Incident, Catalog/Request, and Hardware Asset Management modules and workflows, to fixing everything we did wrong, to building (and rebuilding) applications, structures, and workflows to scale with Zillow’s ambitions.In my journey from Tier 1 Help Desk Technician to Windows SA to Principal Program Manager, I accompanied Zillow as it grew from a 128-person good idea to a 10k+-person most-recognized-name in online real estate, and along the way, built servers, services, systems, and automation to support that growth. I have gone from idea to implementation to iteration countless times, as TPM and Product Owner, learning and adapting to each new scenario and set of business requirements, and bringing technical and non-technical stakeholders along with me. Now I am looking forward to the opportunity to do this for the next company, team, and set of stakeholders.
