Responsible for releasing 2D drawing and 3D models, performance specifications and production issue resolution for throttle bodies, delta pressure valve and EGR valve, and conducted drawing reviews for Hurricane 6 (SO & HO – 3.0L) & EP6 1.6L engines and reviewed lessons learned from previous programs• Developed DFMEA & DVP & R throughout the engine program, and executing component/system specific Design Assurance Plan (DAP) following best practices as well as COE reviews for 100% design robustness• Reviewed project timings in detail & ensured program milestones are met during component development• Completed component reviews during teardown of engines and maintained records of comments in DRBFM system, and ensured parts are analyzed in detail by supplier in case of any issues• Led sourcing activities for electronic throttle bodies, fasteners, cooling and fuel system components (fuel lines, fuel pumps, fuel injector, and fuel rail assembly) by setting technical requirements, conducting technical reviews for supplier selection, design reviews in NX & providing technical scorecards • Orchestrated validation activities to implement changes for technical cost reduction (TCR) in the engine to save company ~$15 million over program life by removing usage of components by managing and working with diverse teams to finish vehicle & engine testing to completing required change notices with due diligence• Implemented post-production DVP & R testing to improve quality to cut warranty returns by 20% for actuators compared to other engine programs and ensured suppliers create sufficient bank between the post-production changes approval & implementation
