I have had the pleasure of spending my entire career (40 years) at MetLife in senior management roles.I am an Actuary by background (FSA 1986), and have held management positions throughout MetLife. I have deep expertise in Risk Management (as non-US Chief Risk Officer (CRO), Economic Capital/Solvency II regimes), M&A, Asset Liability Management, product development and management (Group and Retirement), and all aspects of Finance (as CRO and CFO of several areas).I am passionate about developing the next generation of Actuaries and Leaders, and mentor those individuals thirsty to improve skills - keeping technical communication simple, influence, and decision making.I am currently the business head for the Retail U.S. Life and Annuity business at MetLife, which represents about 20% of enterprise earnings. I have served on multiple MetLife internal boards (U.S, Bermuda, and Cayman)- some as the Board\'s CRO.I\'ve traveled to over 15 countries where MetLife has business, and was able to leverage the learnings across the enterprise.I have a B.S. in Math from SUNY Binghamton in 1983. I was one of the youngest FSA\'s ever at MetLife; age 24. I passed about 1/2 of all 11 actuarial exams while in college - became an ASA within 6 months from graduation.In my next chapter, I am interested in using my lifetime of experience and help others through Board membership, or project consulting. I also have a special interest in helping start-up Insurer tech companies succeed. I was an advisor to an on-line start-up that distributed life, LTC, IDI, and annuities for several major carriers. I also advised an Actuarial software start-up firm. I\'m currently in discussions with a retail cybersecurity insurance start-up. I\'d be thrilled to participate in others.I reside in Manhattan, but willing to travel anywhere globally. Would love to connect with old friends and meet new ones.
