In seven years as a corporate director I have become a recognized leader and sought after speaker on board governance matters by entities like the Financial Times (FT), EY Board Matters, NACD, and the Executive Leadership Council (ELC).Currently I serve as an independent director on the boards of hotel REIT Apple Hospitality (NYSE: APLE) and leading annuity and insurance company Allianz Life. My corporate board leadership experience includes four plus years as Lead Director of global telecom, registry, and trusted communications leader Somos, Incorporated.My work emphasizes strategic oversight in audit, regulatory risk management, governance principles, and compensation committee best practices.In my corporate leadership career I developed significant expertise in mobile communications and tech policy which continues through the Howard Woolley Group’s consulting engagement with T-Mobile and previously Microsoft. My passion for board service extends to Syracuse University and Johns Hopkins University where I serve in leadership roles on their boards.A continuous learner in July of 2025 I participated in the “Making Corporate Boards More Effective ” program at the Harvard Business School (HBS).
