The Principal Advisor identifies and integrates planning horizon inputs and objectives into the planning process, enabling efficient and effective strategic planning and outcome sustainment. This position will advise and assist management in planning, creating, and updating MISO’s Strategic Priority Objectives for the purpose of clearly articulating the goals MISO must achieve to meet our corporate strategic objectives. This requires understanding our industry, political climate, and MISO’s internal business needs. The Principal Advisor will understand and be able to empathize with the different levels, goals and perspectives across the organization. The ability to creatively collaborate with leadership and subject matter experts on a wide variety of topics is necessary. Being adaptable and flexible is also imperative in this role as our strategic planning processes are being refined and matured.
