ABOUT HOWARD WEXLER

I am a Partner in Seyfarth Shaw’s Labor and Employment group, based in New York. I co-lead Seyfarth’s New York Labor and Employment Law Department as well as our New Jersey Practice Group. I represent management in complex employment litigation across federal and state courts, at both trial and appellate levels, and before key administrative agencies including the NLRB, EEOC, DOL, NYSDHR, NJDCR, and NYS PERB.My litigation practice spans high-stakes single and multi-plaintiff discrimination and harassment claims, class and collective actions, and enforcement matters initiated by the EEOC. I have defended employers in cases involving allegations of discrimination based on age, race, gender, national origin, and other protected categories. I also have deep experience in wage-and-hour litigation, including class actions involving misclassification, off-the-clock work, and meal/rest break violations.Beyond litigation, I counsel employers on proactive strategies to reduce legal risk and foster compliant workplaces. This includes advising on employee handbooks, internal investigations, FMLA and ADA compliance, and day-to-day HR challenges. I regularly conduct training for attorneys, executives, HR professionals, and managers on EEO best practices, harassment prevention, and litigation avoidance.I frequently lecture on employment law topics and contribute to publications such as Law360, Bloomberg, CBS News, and Newsday, offering insights on emerging labor and employment issues.Attorney Advertising
