A senior and experienced tech lawyer managing legal teams and operations, and operating as a strategic advisor and business partner to FIS\' Payments (Worldpay), Capital Markets and Banking Solutions businesses. Experience of building and managing legal teams and operations in both the EMEA and APAC regions. Extensive experience of managing cross-border transactions and issues, and advising senior executives and managers on a wide range of issues, including commercial contracts, regulatory issues, mergers and acquisitions, corporate law issues, partnership deals, disputes and other day to day legal matters. Prior to joining FIS/SunGard, I had been a partner and associate practicing corporate and commercial law in the London office of Reed Smith.LLB Honours law degree from the University of Nottingham (1989) and Law Society Finals Examination at Nottingham Trent University (1990). Trained in London at the international law firm Hogan Lovells and was admitted as a solicitor in England and Wales in 1992. Practicing experience has included working in Australia at the Melbourne office of the Asia Pacific law firm, Allens. Prior in-house experience has included time on secondment at the UK subsidiary of Exxon Petroleum, Esso, and at the healthcare products, coatings and chemicals conglomerate, Akzo Nobel.
