Bayview Asset Management (\"Bayview\") is an investment firm focused on investments in mortgage credit, including whole loans, mortgage and asset-backed securities, mortgage servicing rights, and mortgage-related equities. Bayview has approximately $15.0 billion in assets under management as of July 31, 2019, and is headquartered in Coral Gables, Florida, with over 1,700 employees. Mr. Shoer joined Bayview in 2001. Since 2011, Mr. Shoer has been responsible for business development and investor relations for the Bayview Funds. From 2008 through 2014, he also had primary responsibility for client relationship management and business development for Bayview’s Financial Institutions Group. This team sources loan acquisition and loan selling opportunities from banks and other financial institutions. Previously at Bayview, he managed the firm’s retail commercial mortgage origination business. Mr. Shoer began his career in both the contract finance and real estate finance groups of First Boston in New York. He graduated from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, Cum Laude, with a concentration in Finance.
