About Howard Ishiyama

Senior executive with a track record of leading change. Skilled at strategic planning, external relations, building academic programs, leading regional accreditation efforts, budgeting, financial analysis, and all areas of enrollment. As Provost and Chief Academic Officer for 20 + years, my portfolio included the traditional areas of faculty, instruction and academic support, but grew to include oversight of, IT, HR, enrollment management, and international student enrollment. I also served as Acting and/or Interim President four times, Acting VP for Institutional Relations once, and Acting VP for Enrollment Management twice. As Interim President, I navigated the university through very challenging times and continue to innovate and build for the future. I am a results-oriented, future-thinking, enthusiastic executive with strong communication skills.
