WORK HISTORY
President, Gene Codes Forensics @Gene Codes Corporation
Gene Codes Forensics [GCF] the global leader in bioinformatics for human identification. On 9-11, Gene Codes\' DNA analysis tools were already in use for the Pentagon and Pennsylvania sites of the terrorist attacks, but New York City needed tools and expertise to help identify 2,749 people killed at the World Trade Center and recovered as more than human remains. M-FISys (Mass-Fatality Identification System, pronounced like \"emphasis\") combines data from several lab assays (STRs, Y-STRs, mtDNA, SNP analysis) for both direct and kinship-based matches. I have been principle designer and the liaison between lab personnel and the engineering team.See: has been used in the crucial first 5 months of the I.D. effort after the 2004 tsunami. Cash and senior staff work at the ID team headquarters in Phuket providing managerial consulting and input on the Scientific Advisory Board and DNA subcommittee (pro bono). M-FISys has since been deployed around the US and in countries in North and Central America, South America, Europe, Africa and Asia. It has been used for victim ID in natural disasters, transportation accidents, industrial accidents and post-conflict reconciliation. It is also used in criminal case work, missing persons and investigation/interdiction of child trafficking.See: http://tinyurl.com/GCF2004ISHISee also: Codes Forensics is a wholly owned subsidiary of bioinformatics leader Gene Codes Corp [Gene Codes].
