Currently working as a researcher with Orlando Utilities Commission (OUC) on the optimal predictive control of a nano grid. The nano grid control includes integration of PV panels, flow battery, AC and DC charging of EVs, weather station, sky camera, and flywheels.The research under this project includes the design and implementation of a control center in charge of managing the grid under several different profiles (including solar smoothing, demand mitigation, and contingency event) and setting up communication between the control center and all the equipment in the grid throw Modbus protocol.This project includes all the below tasks- Data transfer and database management using MongoDB- Application of machine learning algorithms for data prediction and scenario testing using python- Formulating and solving several optimization problems for different control modes with python- Development of real-time and predictive control algorithms - Data visualization and results analysis in python
