Responsible for representing, providing and promoting Virginia Employment Commission services and programs for the local office service area. Directs the local office operations and supervises either an assistant manager or supervisor(s) who manages day-to-day office operations, or local office staff. Plan and direct the delivery of all programs and services offered by the Virginia Employment Commission for the local office service area.I have comprehensive knowledge of the employers, local government, and organizational structure of the service area; Employment Security to include the Virginia Unemployment Compensation Act, Wagner-Peyser Act, the Workforce Investment Act, and the Virginia Employment Commission policies, procedures and service delivery models\'; staff development activities; data collection and analysis used to assess employment security operations and administration of programs; and facilities, fiscal and human resource management. I have knowledge of project management; state and local government policies, procedures and functions; processes related to Code of Virginia enforcement and information systems functions. I manage or supervise workers in a complex employment related environment offering a full range of employment security related services; establish and maintain close working relationships with employers, employment security staff, administrators, organizations, boards, elected officials and central office staff and management; establish and maintain partnerships with the business and industry community I communicate effectively with all audiences, to include effectively presenting complex information to technical and lay audiences in writing and orally; work effectively with the public; manage the completion of projects; develop and implement staff development training form employment security professionals and support staff; and oversee the supervision and activities of employment security staff.
