About Matt Hopkins
I\'m a full stack software engineer with a background in communications, operations and product management. I\'ve worked with or for tech startups my entire career and currently work at Angel Studios, where I have worked as an engineer and product manager across a variety of mobile and web projects. I\'m most comfortable in React, React Native, Elixir and Phoenix LiveView, but I care most about finding the right tool for the job and am always open to picking up new technologies.

Full stack engineer, theatrical - We built the first ticket integration from a distribution studio. My role included- Building out features to increase ticket conversions- Leading efforts to build out our localization infrastructure for our international ticket sales, taking the time it took to release new localized theatrical pages from weeks to days or hours and number of language supported from one to 23- Led efforts to build out custom content API with admin tooling using Elixir, GraphQL and Phoenix LiveView- Built out other admin tooling features for our support teamMobile Engineer on the Angel Studios app, consistently a top 50 app in the entertainment category. My role included- Building out features to increase engagement in our content discovery- Helped with converting the app from a one show to multi-show paradigm- Rewriting various components to improve efficiency and code cleanliness- Building out various UI improvements
