ABOUT HOPE KNOSHER

After realizing the emotional, physical and re-energizing qualities of yoga, I experienced a heartfelt calling to lead others in their journey of discovery and transformation both on the mat and off. The daily challenges of a busy life, coupled with a diagnosis of breast cancer, left me emotionally and physically drained. Although the practice of Yoga had been on my “to do” list for a while, it had not become a priority. After committing to a regular yoga practice, my inner and outer life began to transform in ways I could not have imagined. I have practiced several different forms of yoga and I am deeply grateful for the support and guidance I have received from each of my teachers. My inspiration comes from these different forms of yoga, and I integrate parts of each into my teaching method. It is my goal to foster an intimacy between body and mind by encouraging students to go deeper into self-awareness through their practice, and at the same time build physical strength and mental clarity. In addition to my yoga teacher certification, I am a practitioner and advocate of healthy eating and hold two certifications in the Living Foods Lifestyle. Sports and fitness have always been an integral part of my lifestyle, and I have worked as an athletic director and coach. As as a wellness coach, I have worked with others helping to integrate mind, body and nutrition into a daily health routine. My personal practice has given me a sense of peace and expansion, and an inner strength and resiliency to face the complexities of life. It is with a heart of gratitude that I wish to share the practice of yoga with my students and join each of them in their journey of self-discovery.
