ABOUT HOPE PRIMAS

Hope Primas is a media literacy advocate with a passion for empowering Foundational Black Americans to navigate the media landscape. She is the founder of BlackMediaIQ, a safe space for Foundational Black Americans to explore, discuss, and develop critical media literacy skills. She is also the creator of the podcast The Ledger and the FBA Accountability Framework – an audit tool designed to answer one question:Does this person, this institution, or this policy serve Foundational Black American interests? Not \"does it help everyone.\"Not \"does it have good intentions.\"Not \"is it better than the alternative.\"Does it serve us? Specifically. Directly. Verifiably.Previously, Hope served as an L2 CDFI certification reviewer, where she witnessed firsthand how well-intentioned policies can fail FBA communities. She resigned in 2026 after documenting policy changes that systematically narrowed pathways for Black‑serving CDFIs. That experience now informs her advocacy and her framework.Let\'s connect if you are interested in media literacy for Foundational Black Americans, policy accountability frameworks, or strategic consulting for mission-driven organizations.
