ABOUT HOPE KENT
I am a Research Fellow at the University of Nottingham, working on a project examining the impact of New Labour’s social policies on crime. My work predominantly uses population-level administrative datasets to understand outcomes across systems including health, social care, education, and criminal justice. I am particularly interested in the structural marginalisation of people with neurodisability. I am also the UK representative for PINK Concussions, an American charity which advocates for women and girls who have experienced brain injury. I am the co-ordinator for the Acquired Brain Injury Justice Network, which is part of UKABIF. Additionally, I am the co-ordinator for TRYJustice, a transdisciplinary network working towards improving outcomes for children who are in contact with the criminal justice system.
