About Hope Coulter
The Hendrix-Murphy Programs enhance and enrich the study of literature and language at Hendrix College, a nationally ranked liberal arts college located in Conway, Arkansas. As director I oversee a range of programming, from bringing distinguished writers, scholars, and theatre directors to campus, to supporting literary and language-related research, service, and study abroad. The core of our activity is the Murphy Scholars Program in Literature and Language, a cohort program through which students who are keenly interested in literature and language—regardless of their major—receive mentoring and resources to pursue opportunities in those fields. At Hendrix I\'m also an Assistant Professor of English at Hendrix and teach creative writing, academic writing, and occasionally literary studies.
