Having recently achieved an MSc qualification in Structural Engineering at the University of Exeter, possessing a degree from the Open University, I now have aspirations of acquiring a Structural Engineer position where I can apply my unwavering hard work ethic, analytical/problem solving skills, knowledge, designing capabilities and mathematical ability, and help further develop these skills in the real-world. My ultimate goal is to become a key team player over the entire lifecycle of a project, from idea, concept and design to operation and maintenance.Knowledge gained during my MSC:• Ultimate Limit State design for Steel, Concrete and Reinforced Concrete Structures • Linear Systems and Structural Analysis• MATLAB Programming for Engineering• Revit CAD• Form and Functionality, Actions on Buildings, Structural Design of Tall Buildings, Sustainability and Passive Buildings, Construction and Demolition, Resilience of Buildings, Operation and Performance Tracking.• Vibration Mitigation• Testing and Monitoring vibration serviceability of (Foot)Bridges, Floors, Grandstands, Staircases, Long span bridges and High-Rise Buildings• Structural Health and Performance Monitoring of High Rise Building and Long Span Bridges in addition to Working with Real Operational Data over one year from two different Structures, using MATLAB to Derive the Modal Properties and the Response of the Structure. • Strong Mathematical and Physical Foundation for Analysing and Designing for Seismic Response of Structures. • Knowledge and understanding of Eurocodes and British Standards related to Structural Engineering.• In my Dissertation I have Compared Different Methods of Modal Analysis in Order to Better Estimate the Damping Value of a Dynamically Sensitive Structure, the Dynamic response of the 280 meters Republic Plaza Building Under Wind Excitation was investigated using the covariance‐driven Stochastic Subspace Identification (SSI‐COV) approach with the intention of overcoming the challenges experienced by the designers and reduce the risk of bad design, costs, and CO2 emission.
