ABOUT HOOMAN

Dr.Hooman Mir, DPM, MSci, FAPWCA is a DPM Physician with Fellow Board Certification in Wound Care, An Assistant Professor in Medicine and Consultant Physician with advanced training in “T2T” Program at Harvard School of Medicine. He has obtained his Medical Degree in Podiatry Medicine from Temple Institute in Philadelphia along with advanced training in Clinical Investigation, Healthcare Policy & Patient Safety and lastly his Post-Graduate Training in Training to Teach Medicine at Harvard,School of Medicine, Completed on June 2023.He is a UT, Temple Podiatry Med, UT Health,Thomas Jefferson Med & lastly Harvard Medicine T2T Alumni with Surgical-Externship in Foot & Ankle Surgery from Yale New Haven, Albert Einstein Medical Center and A&M Scott and White Hospital and one-year surgical internship at the prestigious Mount Sinai Hospital in New York. Known as Dr.Hooman, he is notable by becoming the First DPM Physician to receive FULL NIH Tuition Reimbursement from Department of Medicine at UT Health Science Center for his advanced training in Physician-Master Degree in Clinical Investigation. Dr.Hooman serves as a Full-Time Assistant Professor & Faculty Senator at UTRGV SOPM. He was voted the “ Best Educator of The Year “ in 2019 at Western U Health prior to his move back to Texas in 2021.In addition to his advanced physician training in Clinical Investigation, Dr.Hooman has also received one-year advanced training in Health Care Policy & Patient Safety from the prestigious Thomas Jefferson, School of Medicine and Population Health in Philadelphia.Dr.Hooman is the CEO & Founder of “ Hooman Medicine”, a concierge medical service consisting of private physicians who provide exclusive custom-made treatment for diabetic patients,diabetic wound ulceration, gait and biomechanics. As an International Medical Lecturer, Dr.Hooman has given annual lectures and run workshops at prestigious institutes such as AMEE, UT Health, Texas Diabetes Institute, Albert Einstein Medical Center and FIP World Congress of Podiatry. In addition, he has run surgical amputation workshops at prestigious institutes such as Imperial Medical College in London in the past 8 years.As an Austin-Texan Born, Dr.Hooman divides his personal time between Austin,NYC ( Brooklyn), Berlin, Tehran and London. He is fluent in English, Farsi, Arabic and French.
