I’m a Principal Engineer with 15+ years’ experience across the energy, space, marine, defence, and fusion sectors. This breadth allows me to operate as a Hybrid Engineer, bridging disciplines and turning ambiguity into definition and accelerated progress. I thrive at the intersection of multi-disciplinary engineering, complex system delivery, and cross-functional communication.At Space Solar, I lead multi-disciplinary teams in the realisation of complex engineering solutions for Space Solar Power, wireless power beaming, and in-space assembly. My focus is on delivering integrated, buildable solutions while aligning teams across mechanical, electrical, radiofrequency, embedded electronics, and systems domains.As a Senior Development Engineer, I turn concepts into prototype, and prototypes into operational solutions. My multi-discipline expertise and communication skills allow me to act as a technical translator, ensuring teams understands the same problem, operate within shared constraints, and maintains momentum even when systems misbehave.Alongside my full-time role, I support a small number of frontier R&D and innovation teams (4 days/month max currently) with cross-functional system interpretation, technical unblocking and development and delivery of innovation projects. I specialise in facilitating project progress when complexity or ambiguity might otherwise stall progress.
