ABOUT EBONI JOHNSON ROSE

Eboni Johnson Rose is a judge with the 19th Judicial District Court presiding over civil and criminal courts. She was elected in December 2020. Judge Johnson Rose is a former attorney with the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development. She was the Procurement Attorney working closely with stakeholders to deliver sound infrastructure projects throughout the State. Judge Rose along with the Procurement Team secured the first Private Partnership Project in Louisiana. She also was employed with the Office of General Counsel, Division of Administration, specializing in construction litigation. Judge Johnson Rose represented the State of Louisiana in disputes with architects, engineers, contractors, subcontractors, and project owners. In her practice, she reviewed and negotiated construction contracts, including all AIA form agreements, settlement negotiations, as well as litigation and arbitration proceedings for defective construction recovery.
