I am a genuine leader with over 20 years of work experience in power systems and electricity markets, and 8 years of academic experience in electromagnetic transients modeling and simulation. I have extensive knowledge and in-depth understanding of zonal and nodal electricity markets, power system security and reliability, energy market fundamentals, locational marginal pricing, renewable energy, energy storage, transmission network, generator operations, electricity demand, and simulation tools. I have a track record of leading cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions to the most complex problems, of a high standard and within a short time.At Energy Exemplar, I led dataset development for long-term capacity expansion, price forecasting, and congestion insights. I proposed numerous enhancements in software and procedures. I helped teams grow with expertise and agility. I assisted and guided colleagues with data analytics, modeling, solutions, algorithms and user experiences, which led to several major wins in sales and greater customer satisfaction.At ERCOT, I grew into or assumed the lead in multiple business areas, including wholesale market settlements, nodal market design, enterprise integration, near-term transmission planning, long-term system planning, production cost modeling, economic transmission planning, and steady-state power system analysis. In all these areas, I established new business processes and proposed innovative solutions. I demonstrated strong cross-functional team leadership and organizational skills.In China, I was an electrical engineer responsible for civil airport lighting systems and electric power distribution design. I conducted feasibility analyses, cost estimates, conceptual design, and detailed design for construction projects under various phases.I was a graduate research assistant in Power System Automation Lab at Texas A&M University. I was a graduate teaching assistant for “Power System Steady-State Analysis” and a graduate research assistant in State Key Laboratory of Power Systems at Tsinghua University.
