ABOUT HONG SIU

Through my experience, people are the most important aspect of any job. Relationships are the foundation of everything else we do, whether that be as a counselor taking care of 7 year old children, a waiter taking care of the needs of customers, volunteering at a nonprofit for a year, or leading a platoon of the hardiest soldiers. In every role, taking care of the people we serve or lead should always be a priority.I have been able to take care of others and help them with financial, situational, and job difficulties. I have managed over $200 thousand worth of resources weekly, but more importantly managed over 170 personnel. After the military, serving at a nonprofit allowed me to gain experience with recruitment and emphasized how important relationships are to building something that will last. Outside of regular service hours, we served and volunteered with multiple different organizations while also investing into our neighbors and neighborhood. Through difficulties I have been able to counsel others on the deeper problems that are happening in their life. There is much more to others than just their work, finances, and social standing. My experience in life has set me on fire to not only know people and their lives but also to best benefit them and the organization through my work and my hobbies. Being able to work excellently and focus in school settings and job settings has allowed me to advance quicker than most of my peers on paper, but being able to build deep relationships has allowed me to truly impact lives and been impacted as well.
