ABOUT KYLE SIMMONS

Innovation is what gets me out of bed in the morning. My career has spanned theme park design, immersive VR training simulators, and even launching rockets into space. The common thread through it all is the development of digital pipelines that enable engineers and designers to collaboratively solve unique technical challenges. Today, as a systems engineer turned project manager, I leverage my ability to translate between creative, software, mechanical, and controls teams to communicate effectively between stakeholders and project execution, while keeping schedule, scope, and budget aligned. My career began as mechanical design engineer, working on motion bases for military training simulators and moving structures on rocket launch towers. I later moved into game art and software development, building real-time animation and interactive multimedia for Universal Studios theme park attractions and US military training systems. I even spent a brief time in between designing in Revit for a commercial architectural firm, gaining exposure to building systems and multidisciplinary design coordination. That range of hands-on experience shapes how I lead projects today. As a project manager, I understand the daily realities of engineers, programmers, designers, artists, and technicians. Knowing my team\'s pain points allows me to recognize when a team member is stuck, overwhelmed, or simply thrashing in indecision. I can also recognize the telltale signs of coasting, and with compassionate soft skills, manage the team member towards focus, clarity, and empowered accountability, rather than pressure or fear. My approach to leadership is to remove obstacles, improve workflows, and motivate team members to perform at their best. K•••@Holosim.com 40••••••34
