   Materials Process Engineering - Oversee chemical analysis, thermal vacuum, cleanroom, and contamination control sub-process activities, budgets, staffing, and process development - Regularly manage small teams for internal material process development (including paint processing and etching/priming techniques), documentation development and revision, and steer document prioritization in each sub-process - Co-author, review, and present proposals to laboratory leadership for internal process development (ex. Z93C55 and Z306 in-house application, certified in-house chromate conversion coating) to support future program needs, increase efficiency, and enhance lab capabilities - Mentor and provide training for new or junior materials process engineers on SDL, aerospace, and industry standards - Collaborate with mechanical engineers or engineering associates to rigorously characterize and hone processes and their relevant application - Act as quality process owner for Materials Process Engineering, including presenting process effectiveness metrics to SDL top leadership each quarter, and participating in all auditing efforts (internal, customer, and ISO)- Support and train junior-level Materials Process Engineers on internal chemical analysis techniques, vacuum system use, and chemical processing methods
