ABOUT HOLLY SLOCUM
I work at the intersection of digital preservation, UX design, communications, and education to keep digital culture alive and accessible for future generations. Connecting technology and humanity is what I do.Currently you can find me at the Electronic Literature Lab at Washington State University Vancouver where we focus on the preservation of born-digital art, literature, and games. I serve as the lab\'s project manager and senior designer, leading daily operations and overseeing design strategy while staying hands-on with interface design, media preservation, metadata development, and personnel training. I also teach upper-division web design and development as an adjunct professor and support our senior capstone course, where students spend 16 weeks building real projects for real clients.I consider myself approachable, collaborative, and intentional. I build strong relationships with colleagues and students, and I care deeply about mentorship and stewarding future professionals.I\'m always up for conversations about digital preservation, design education, and how we keep culture alive in a world that moves fast.
