I am the Director of the Center for Research on Vermont, as well as a Senior Lecturer in English at the University of Vermont. My courses include \"Climate Change in Sci-Fi & Fantasy,\"\"Should we settle space,\"\"Harry Potter,\"\"At Work in America: Oral & Written Histories,\" and \"Creative Writing.\"I\'m the author of the poetry books \"The pressure of all that light\"(Rebel Satori, 2022);\"My Pet Sounds Off: Translating the Beach Boys\"(Finishing Line, 2020); and \"Excerpts from a Natural History\"(Titus, 2015). My next collection,\"At last, we listen closely: cryptic crossword poems\"(Black Spring) is forthcoming in 2026.I\'m currently finishing up an oral history collection on jobs that are becoming obsolete in the US.
