ABOUT HOLLY MCCABE

I am a recent graduate of the University of Glasgow with an MA(SocSci) in Business & Management and Psychology. Through my course, I have become proficient in using RStudio. I have also developed skills in complex data analysis and visualisation and gained experience in machine learning and programming. My work experience includes supervising and being a key-holder in service-oriented organisations. My role as a supervisor at Admiral required me to be solely responsible for opening and closing the store, including managing the alarm systems. My supervising roles have allowed me to develop leadership skills which I aim to transfer to a graduate job in a professional environment, through working in a managerial role. Working in both hospitality and retail has enabled me to develop exemplary communication skills through both working in a team alongside others and managing the work of my colleagues. I have become very proficient in general customer management, teamworking and leading my colleagues. In role as a supervisor at Platform, I often coordinated and supervised high-scale, professional events, including dinners, conferences and product launches. My role included communicating with client’s events managers and facilitating their requests to ensure the success of the event as a whole. Some events I supervised include company awards dinners, theatre shows and product launches for high scale clients including the Transport Police and the BBC.
