About Teach First:Our mission is to tackle educational inequality and build a fair education for all.We offer a world-leading teacher Training Programme where trainees rewrite the future and make a real difference teaching their own classes in a school that serves a disadvantaged community whilst receiving a full-time salary, fully funded PGCE and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). About me:I\'m an energetic, extraverted, positive and ambitious person with experience in student and graduate recruitment, Higher Education, senior leadership, line management, senior stakeholder management, delivering training, rehabilitation, consulting, information, advice and guidance, mentoring, campaigning, fundraising, mental health and welfare. I enjoy working in creative, people-facing roles and am deeply caring, empathetic and passionate about my work.My key interests include social mobility, health and wellbeing, equality, diversity and inclusion, graduate careers and personal development. I organise all our recruitment activity across these universities, line manage teams of Brand Ambassadors at both universities and support trainees joining our Training Programme in the Yorkshire & the Humber region. Former Employment and Training Consultant for the Ministry of Justice, elected full time Welfare Officer (2020/21) at Sheffield Students\' Union, and BSc (Hons) Psychology graduate of The University of Sheffield.Former Research Assistant, Critical Friend & Focus Group Leader for a national research project.As a student, I took on many roles, including Team Leader & Student Caller for Campaigns & Alumni Relations at The University of Sheffield, Chair & Mental Health Officer of Sheffield Welfare Committee, Inclusions Officer at Sheffield Ice Skating Society, Social Media Manager, Outstanding Sheffield Mentor, Academic & Faculty Rep and various voluntary, ambassador and assistant roles. In school, I was Student Manager for Progress & Support, a Teaching Assistant, and Easter School Champion & Volunteer for the Teach First Futures Programme for socially mobile pupils which has had a huge impact on my life.Please feel free to get in touch!
