As the head of projects at Geeky Tech, my main responsibility is ensuring our customer projects are running smoothly and on time; this facilitates the second half of my job, which is overseeing our daily operations. My major responsibilities include:Activity and resource planningOrganising and motivating the Geeky Tech teamManaging and monitoring employee pipelines and project progressCost estimating and developing the budgetEnsuring customer satisfactionProviding direct customer supportAnalysing and managing project riskI work with a great team and I love the fact that even though we all work in different parts of the world, nobody feels far away. While every day is different, the Geeks have pretty much nailed the whole virtual workplace thing.What I enjoy the most about working for Geeky Tech is that it has given me the opportunity to explore the world and experience a true “digital nomad” lifestyle.On a more granular level, my office duties include:Scheduling virtual interdepartmental and client meetings through Google WorkspaceOnboarding clients and building out project parametersPlanning project timelines using Zoho ProjectsAssigning tasks to the appropriate departments and team membersRegularly monitoring Geeky Tech’s ticketing system to ensure rapid customer communication and supportKeeping track of each employee’s weekly pipeline with weekly check-in meetingsLiaising between departments to ensure successful collaborationProviding human resource support for employeesIn November 2021, Geeky Tech underwent major changes, such as a complete social rebranding and a reorganisation of our services. Through strategic pipeline management and scheduling, I facilitated these internal changes by designing various weekly workloads around our ongoing customer projects.
