About Holly Harrar
I am an enthusiastic storyteller who is fulfilled by a love for creativity. I\'m currently the Director of Social Media and Content for Discover Lehigh Valley, visualizing and prioritizing the future of the area\'s visitor economy while enhancing the quality of life and regional pride. Through this work, I\'ve helped the organization\'s Instagram followers grow by several thousand and helped launch our TikTok page. Please give us a follow @LehighValleyPA! Prior to that, I worked as a Reporter and Fill-in Anchor for WFMZ-TV 69 News, covering various stories impacting Lehigh Valley and beyond. I had the pleasure of starting my career in Lancaster County at Blue Ridge News 11. I earned my Bachelors Degree from Shippensburg University in Communication/Journalism emphasizing Electronic Media and Minoring in Disability Studies. I was heavily involved in our campus news station, SUTV and interned for WHTM-TV ABC27 in Harrisburg, PA. That same year, I became a NATAS Mid-Atlantic College Production Emmy Award Winner for \"Inclusion In Action: GMU Life\" which shined a light on secondary education options for students with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities at George Mason University. I have experience shooting documentaries and short vignettes, having worked for non-profits like the Feel Your Boobies Foundation and Shippensburg University\'s College of Arts & Sciences. I served as Miss Philadelphia 2016, a local affiliate of the Miss America Organization. This honor has helped pay for my education and landed me at red carpet events and speaking engagements across the Greater Philadelphia region.
