ABOUT HOLLY FORSHT

Education and InvolvementI am a senior in the Poole College of Management at North Carolina State University studying accounting and am graduating in December of 2023. I have been placed on the Dean\'s List for each of my past semesters at NC State. I joined the Accounting Society in the Fall 2022, which has introduced me to accounting positions and firms. I am also a member of Beta Alpha Psi - Iota Omega Chapter, an international honors organization. After graduating with my Bachelor\'s degree, I plan to get my Master\'s of Accounting and become a CPA.ExperienceSince the summer of 2018, I have been a lifeguard at the city pool in Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina. I am Lifeguard/CPR/AED certified. I have learned many traits to use in my future career, including leadership, responsibility, and awareness, by working as a lifeguard. Also, in the winter breaks of 2020 and 2021, I worked in the office of Aunt Ruby\'s Peanuts, a peanut retail store and distribution center in Enfield, North Carolina. I worked in the office answering phone calls and taking peanut orders, which gave me good communication skills with the public and problem-solving skills. As well as working at the local pool this past summer, I worked at NCCAR, a racetrack in Garysburg, North Carolina, where many sport bikers come to race and practice their skills for national racing events. I was one of the flaggers on the track to communicate with the drivers and also other people on the track over radios. I had to be very alert and conduct crisis management safety measures. I have learned many different skills through the jobs that I have had that will be helpful in my future careers.I can be reached at h•••••••@ncsu.edu.
