I was laid off due to Covid when the state of Ohio shut down. Rather than filing for unemployment, I took the first job that interviewed me. I had never worked a retail possition in this capacity before. As a flooring specialist, I enjoy meeting and helping many do-it-yourself-ers and contractors. My role in serving customers was much more satisfying than I had imagined. My favorite part of the position was helping senior citizens who were inexperienced with shopping online. Although I have enjoyed working with public, I miss using my other skills within the home improvement and construction industries.
