As an Academic Advisor and Event Specialist for the CSU MBA program, I provide dedicated support to graduate students, faculty, and staff, ensuring a seamless and enriching experience throughout their academic journey.Academic Advising & Student Support Manage a caseload of 100 MBA students, providing guidance on course selection, certificate programs, academic policies, and university resources to help them successfully balance their professional and educational goals. Design and implement targeted communications on academic milestones, curriculum updates, and key university resources to keep students informed and engaged Foster meaningful relationships with students by providing individualized support, ensuring they feel connected and empowered throughout their MBA journey. Conduct interviews with prospective MBA students to assess their goals, readiness, and fit for the program, providing guidance on the application process and program expectations.Event Planning & Engagement Two-Day Classes: Coordinate catering logistics for weekend workshops, ensuring smooth setup, food selection, and delivery. Plan and host post-class happy hours to foster networking opportunities. Online Networking: Organize virtual professional development events, to engage online students and enhance their connections within the program. In-Person Networking: Developed and oversee \"Fuel for Finals\", a signature event that gives MBA students the opportunity to connect with their peers in a relaxed setting through happy hours and casual gatherings. Graduation Reception: Oversee the planning and execution of this signature event, managing catering, bar service, entertainment, rentals, invitations, and venue logistics to celebrate our graduates.With a passion for student success and community building, I strive to create impactful experiences that support both academic achievement and meaningful connections within the MBA program.
