About Holliday Horton

Immersive media artist with 40 years of experience in animation, game development, and interactive media. From early stereo 3D rendering and scientific visualization (NASA/JPL) on SGI workstations and Cray supercomputers in the ’80s to shipping 10+ PlayStation titles for Sony in the ’90s, I’ve built a career at the intersection of art and innovation. I went on to create virtual and augmented reality experiences, events, art shows, and installations for audiences worldwide, including VR/AR experiences for Comic-Con@Home and LACMA. Today, I create augmented reality sculptures, teach 3D rigging and game design, and build experiences that fuse math, physics, and imagination—inviting people to see the world in new ways.

   Feb 2022 — Present

   Developed a Snap Lens (2022) for LACMA and Judy Baca,\"The River Once Ran\" as part of the Monumental Perspectives project which brings together artists and technologists to create augmented reality monuments that explore just some of the histories of Los Angeles communities in an effort to highlight perspectives from across the region.
