ABOUT HOLGER DEIST

Design is my calling, less my \'job\'​.Designing consumer grade software requires the same ethos and principles as the industrial design for hardware products: viability, feasibility and desirability.I am focused on creating consumer-grade web applications and e-Commerce-sites for European and global brands. With more than 20 years of professional expertise in design and its related fields, I am an active contributor to SAP\'s next generation user experience. I studied Industrial Design at the University of Wuppertal with focus on system design and human factors. After stops in product concept development and marketing I worked as a concept designer, information architect and usability consultant for leading interactive design agencies responsible for research into and conceptual design of e.g. automotive websites, intranets, online shops and online banking platforms for major European and Global Brands. This encompassed e.g.Automotive brand websites, microsites and webspecials for BMW, General Motors, Mazda Motors, Mercedes-Benz, Volkswagen.Online shops for Fleurop, Siemens, T-Mobile.Financial websites for Commerzbank, BHF-Bank, DekaBank.Intranets for Deutsche Post DHL, PreussenElektra (now E.ON), ESCADA, Zegna.Corporate websites for Deutsche Post DHL, Dräger, Ferrero, Fraport, McKinsey, VDO Dayton.I joined SAP in 2005 as a usability & design consultant, followed by engagements as coach for user-centered design, UX architect for SAP\'s Large Enterprise OnDemand solutions, Creative Director of SAP Digital (aka SAP Store) and as Lead User Experience of SAP Exchange Media (SAP XM), an internal start-up building an online advertising platform. After discontinuation of SAP XM end of 2017 I transferred into the UX team supporting ’Digital Supply Chain and Manufacturing’.
