ABOUT MICHAEL HOFFMAN
I am the Chief Economist for KPMG Canada’s Global Transfer Pricing Services practice. Since I have helped clients navigate the complex and challenging world of transfer pricing in a continually changing global tax environment. I bring to my clients a depth of technical yet practical expertise from planning to compliance to dispute resolution across a range of industries including oil and gas, mining, technology, services and consumer products. I have worked on numerous complex intercompany transactions such as energy trading, financial transactions (loans, guarantees, factoring), asset leasing, and intangible property licensing. From 2005 through 2016, and again since 2019, I have been the KPMG Calgary Transfer Pricing Leader. I am also helping serve our clients in the Greater Toronto Area. Since 2011 I have been recognized as an Expert Transfer Pricing Advisor in the bi-annual Guide to the World’s Leading Transfer Pricing Advisors published by Euromoney Legal Media.*Views expressed are my own.
