About Hoby van Hoose
I am a Senior Agile Experience Designer who elevates business goals and technical best practices into friendly and appealing solutions.Previously I had been engaged in mobile-first projects for a high-traffic daily audience and lower traffic paying customers. I have been making use of both qualitative and quantitative information for testing validation and problem seeking research to make solid, iterative steps to evolve the product and address ux debt. I spent time furthering collaborative practices and mentoring junior designers to grow the team. I have championed several components which have lead to greater engagement, audience success, and a new revenue stream.I have done work for better known organizations like Amazon, XeroxPARC, T-Mobile, Microsoft, AT & T, King County, and the Monterey Bay Aquarium through and in addition to lesser known companies like Seismic, RealSelf, Aro, GLG, Inviso, Filter, Creative Group, and firms I founded like HDT and SwiftMouse. Along the way I also practiced Agile methodologies as a coach and created a successful dual role of Experience Designer + Product Owner at Bloom Consulting—pulling together my innovative approach to improving both outward-facing experiences and internal processes.I am continually an early adopter of emerging tools and automation to reduce overhead with greater transparency and streamlined workflow (e.g, Figma, Moqups, Slack, Trello, G Suite) after utilizing legacy tools (Adobe CC, Sketch, Jira, etc). I have created solutions for the major platforms/channels (responsive web, native mobile/desktop, email/sms, video, print, etc.). I am happiest when learning and gaining new skills.
