ABOUT HAILEY MAKSYMIC

I am a Senior Manager with the National Professional Standards Group (NPSG) at RSM Canada currently located in Alberta, working remotely with the RSM Toronto office. Previously, I worked as a Senior Manager in Audit with Deloitte LLP with a number of reporting issuer clients, mainly in the Energy & Resources and Infrastructure industries. In previous years, I gained experience working with clients in the transportation, real estate, mining, and cannabis industries. My current technical areas of focus include IFRS, US GAAP and ISA and PCAOB auditing standards. I also have experience in ASPE and ASNPO from previous experience working with private audit clients.I have experience working with a variety of technical assurance and accounting projects for both public and private companies in both client serving roles and national office internal roles. I achieved national honour role on the 2017 CFE and am continually dedicated to furthering my growth and education in accounting and assurance. I enjoy challenging technical problems and engaging with a diverse team of people on a daily basis including clients, my team members, and others in the community. I work hard to keep my technical skills fresh and am always up for a challenge. Outside of work I enjoy exploring Canada\'s great outdoors and am passionate about staying healthy and active. I am a qualified spin and rowing instructor and am currently completing my 500 hour Yoga Alliance certified teacher training.
