About Homar Lopez Hawa
As an Industrial Engineer, I am dedicated to using research and innovation to solve complex engineering problems. My expertise lies in 3D modeling, computational mechanics, and finite element analysis, which I have honed through my current pursuit of a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Industrial Engineering. At Wichita State University, I have developed high-resolution computational models and obtained the mechanical behavior of alloys under extreme thermomechanical conditions. I have also created automated in situ quality inspection systems and developed interfaces between robotics, lasers, and MATLAB. As an Instructor, I have co-created and instructed senior-level courses, integrating design of machinery theory, 3D modeling, and 3DExperience SIMULIA\'s finite element modeling, as well as an introductory class on Engineering Drawings. My skills in MATLAB/Simulink, CATIA V5, 3DExperience SIMULIA, 3DExperience CATIAV5, LS-DYNA, and fluency in Spanish, English, and Italian equip me to tackle any engineering challenge. I am committed to contributing to the field through research, innovation, and teaching and am always looking for new opportunities to learn and grow.
