About Hrishikesh Kulkarni
I am a highly motivated engineer working in the Design engineering team for refrigerated products at Wabash national. I graduated with a Master\'s degree in Global Automotive and Manufacturing Engineering at the University of Michigan, in December 2018.A strong base of Mechanical engineering familiarized me with the Design process, and my Master\'s degree further familiarizes me with the intricacies involved in the development process of a New product, right from NPI to manufacturing. My work at Wabash national has enabled me to apply my technical expertise from both Design and Manufacturing and in the journey taught me precise and targeted application of my skill sets.I have hands-on Design and Manufacturing experience as part of a Baja team for 3 years of my undergraduate degree. I am trained in Design for Six Sigma at the University of Michigan, giving me the much needed edge in New Product development and Innovation. I am proficient in Design for Manufacturability techniques and statistical tools like Minitab which are very much needed in Design of experiments and quality and reliability analyses. My work on the General Motors\' battery plant gave me great factory floor experience and further bolstered concepts of Line efficiency, Bottlenecks and their elimination, Line balancing and other concepts. Utilizing these concepts I achieved a 10% boost in the throughput.I have been involved in every stage right from conceptualization to the finished product which makes for a wider skill-set and a very high productivity. My adaptability is at the crux of my success as an engineer.
