ABOUT HAUOLI KAHOLOKULA

Now, travel is my passion. All I have ever wanted to do since I was a little girl growing up on O’ahu was to see the world- to go on adventures and experience other people and become immersed in their culture. After all, adventures are the best way to learn! So, I chose to study Travel Industry Management at the University of Hawai\'i in the hopes of landing my ‘dream job’ at the ripe age of 22 years old and start a life of a globetrotting career-woman. Then of course retire and live abroad among my many properties! Easy, right? After my last exam senior year, my parents picked me on campus, took me out to lunch to celebrate the end of my college career and then dropped me off at the airport as I was recruited by Mauna Lani Resort (the largest resort in Hawai’i) to be their resident food and beverage manager. My career plans were going swimmingly! Or so I thought. I had a great job in resort management at the largest resort in Hawai’i and I wasn’t happy and that’s when I realized, this isn’t the career path I wanted after all. I turned in my 2 weeks notice, and bought a 1-way ticket to Japan. 4 years of living abroad, teaching English in Taiwan, and backpacking around the world was the MOST AMAZING EXPERIENCE! I grew as an individual in ways I didn’t know were possible—I learned more traveling solo than I ever could have had I stayed the course of a typical corporate life; and it was as I was leaving South America to return back to the states, I realized I wanted to mentor others to discover their ideal career path—so they could avoid the corporate-America life that I’m so grateful to have escaped. I wanted more in life, as I’m sure you do too! I really only found the opportunities and flexibility I\'ve been searching for after moving to Phoenix, Arizona. The Valley Management Group has not only taught me the ins and outs of entrepreneurship, but pushed me to develop others and guide them towards reaching their own goals and aspirations in the process.
